We are representing a well-established and reputable design studio renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation. Our client is currently looking to engage a highly creative professional with a proven track record in delivering high-end, luxury projects.
The Role & Responsibilities
The role involves leading FF&E projects while providing guidance and support to junior team members. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, project managers, and suppliers, you will manage client meetings with professionalism and confidence. You will coordinate contractors, suppliers, and services to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard. Responsibilities include preparing compelling mood boards, fabric schemes, and presentations, as well as sourcing exquisite furniture, antiques, and artwork. The position also involves designing bespoke furniture, covering case goods, upholstery, and lighting, alongside developing detailed specifications and schedules. You will create and manage project budgets effectively, oversee the procurement process for all FF&E elements, and ensure that all work upholds the studio's values while delivering a seamless client experience. In addition, you will be responsible for setting project timelines and ensuring all deadlines are consistently met.
Key Skills & Attributes
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the 5-star hospitality sector, working for a reputable studio across all stages of a project, from concept through to site installation. A design-related degree or equivalent qualification is essential, along with excellent knowledge of both local and international suppliers and materials. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding presentation skills and proven experience liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers, while maintaining the ability to work within defined budgets. Exceptional organisational, communication, and project management skills are required, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience using Spec Designer and Estimac will be considered an advantage. The role demands thorough experience in preparing FF&E specifications and the ability to work confidently and discreetly with high-profile clients. A collaborative, leadership-oriented mindset and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced environment are key. Applicants must hold UK citizenship or settled status and be willing to travel internationally.
