Quality Assurance and Involvement Service

Are you an experienced and passionate social work professional ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? We're looking for a dynamic and strategic Senior Fieldwork Manager to lead our Social Work Consultancy Service within the Quality Assurance and Involvement team.

In this pivotal role, you'll be a key influencer and relationship-builder, working across multi-agency partnerships to improve outcomes for children and families. Your ability to connect, collaborate, and inspire will be essential in shaping and delivering high-quality services.

What we're looking for:

A qualified and SWE-registered social worker with a strong track record of success in practice. Significant management experience, particularly in supporting newly qualified social workers through the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme. A confident representative for Sheffield City Council at national forums, supporting the Principal Social Worker and contributing to sector-wide developments. A strategic thinker with experience in project and research work, especially around the upcoming Early Career Framework and changes to the new social work induction programme. A skilled leader, able to manage a team of social work consultants, ensuring the effective induction, education, and development of ASYE cohorts. Experience in workforce development and training delivery, with the ability to design and implement in-house learning programmes.

You'll also play a key role in preparing for the transition to the new Department for Education Social Work Induction Programme and supporting the development of career pathways for experienced social workers.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of social work in Sheffield, champion best practice, and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families.
