Job title: Senior Finance Administrator
Reports to (job title): Head teacher
Hours of work: 30 hours per week. Hours worked are over 43 weeks
Salary: up to 9b SCP24 - 35,412 (FTE) per year pro rata
Location: Windermere, Cumbria
Job Purpose
To be responsible for the management and oversight of all financial processes and procedures at St Martin and St Mary C of E Primary School and to take an active role in a range of additional administrative duties in support of the school's successful operation.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
Budget preparation, submissions, monitoring cash flow and budgets, manage bank accounts for Main Budget and School fund, VAT claims
Liaise with QES over PSF system
Report preparation and Minute taking for Staffing & Finance Committee
Security Inventory System
Oversee the school visit schedule
Lettings
Oversee catering orders
Input and process orders and invoices on PSF (Main Account) and arrange payments
Manage money into school using Schools Cash Office system (School fund Account) and send out invoices, payments, reminders.
Income to school fund and main budget
Manage 30hr and submissions for funding EYFS/EYPP
UIFSM
Organise auditors for School Fund account
FSM Claims and records
Balance bank accounts monthly - Main and School fund
Main account quarterly returns
End of year - PSF March and Schools Cash Office (SCO) August
Oversee Census preparation and return for School, non-workforce census
Other duties as required by the Head teacher
The Senior Finance Administrator Vacancy
We plan to appoint a Senior Finance Administrator to join our office team for 30 hours per week. The post is for 43 weeks of the year. This post would suit someone with experience in the preparation and monitoring of budgets some of which is specific to an educational setting. Candidates must be sympathetic to the Christian ethos of the school.
Our office team will comprise of a Senior Finance Administrator (this post), a Senior HR Administrator, and two part time administrators. Our office is based at the centre of the school. Our experienced team of staff work together to provide; professional administration systems to support our school staff, families, governors and pupils, as well as high quality education and care for the children.
The School
St Martin and St Mary Church of England Primary School caters for children aged between 2 and 11 years old. The school provides education based on the practices and principles of the Church of England Trust Deed. Our school opened on 1st September 2013 and is an amalgamation between St Mary's Church of England Nursery and Infant School with Windermere Church of England Junior School.
