Senior Finance Assistant (Salary dependent on experience)



Are you looking for a fresh challenge in Finance? We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant, qualified to at least AAT Level 3 or equivalent (with the opportunity for further study available), to join our centralised Finance team, supporting the Finance functions for both Window Widgets Limited and Profoil Limited, within the Q19 Group.

The role will suit someone who is enthusiastic, well organised and a confident communicator as you will often be required to represent the Finance team in meetings around the business. You will need to be confident in all the usual accounting functions, purchase and sales ledger, cashbook activities etc and support the Financial Controller with the production of monthly management accounts, ensuring all deadlines are met.

There may be occasional travel to the Profoil site in Kettering, so a driving licence is essential.

What is the job?



Key tasks will include



Supervise and support the team with all daily tasks within the Finance function Prepare and maintain Cash Flow forecasts Support the Financial Controller with the preparation of monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines Actively explore opportunities for improved processes and procedures Preparation of payment runs Credit control Manage Corporate Credit Cards through Company Expenses software Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
To be successful in this role, you will need to be an excellent team player, confident in your interactions with others, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines. You will need a willingness to both learn and teach, to support other members of the team and be prepared to embrace appropriate new technology as we adapt and change our procedures to take advantage of the process improvements that new technologies can bring to the business. You will need to be a competent user of the full Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and have experience of accounting software (ideally SAGE 200 or similar).
