We're looking for a
Senior Finance Assistant (AP)
to join the team and take charge of all things Accounts Payable. From keeping our Adfund ledger in check to wrangling thousands of invoices each month, you'll be the one making sure our finance engine keeps running at full speed.
You'll be based at Whopper Support three days a week, with the rest from home. But wherever you are, you'll be at the centre of it all -- keeping processes smooth, suppliers happy, and the business moving.
What you'll be doing (aka your recipe for success):
Own the Adfund AP ledger and lead bi-weekly payment runs
Prep and check payment data with an eagle eye for detail
Process high volume invoices a month
Solve invoice mysteries -- rejected, on-hold, or just plain confusing
Reconcile supplier statements across 35+ accounts
Work with our energy consultants and Management Accounts team to keep the lights on (literally)
Be the voice suppliers love to hear -- across phone, email, and inboxes galore
Allocate payments like a pro (manual or direct debit)
Support key accounts like Best Food from posting to payment
Cross-train across Accounts Receivable so you're never stuck in one lane
Step up when the Transactions Manager takes a break
Jump in to support the wider Finance team whenever needed
What you'll bring to the table:
Solid AP experience in a high-volume, multi-site setup (bonus points if it's in hospitality, retail, or QSR)
Confidence when dealing with suppliers and colleagues -- you're approachable but professional
The kind of attention to detail that catches a decimal in a sea of spreadsheets
A knack for smashing deadlines and keeping plates spinning
Sharp communication skills (written and spoken)
Microsoft Office wizardry, especially Excel
Extra brownie points if you've got experience with SAP Business One or Docuware
