The Finance Directorate is responsible for processing approximately 400m of income and expenditure annually, represented by more than 150,000 transactions each year. Around 7,500 staff and students have access to our Finance systems to initiate, review and approve financial transactions and budgetary reports.

Based within the Finance Directorate, the post will focus on supporting the wider Research Finance team in their daily duties and tasks. The role will report to the Assistant Manager (Claims) via the Research Finance Advisors.

This is a key role within a supportive team where you will receive ongoing training and development to enable you to undertake your duties and support the research community.

Key daily tasks will include -

General ledger analysis of your project portfolio to submit expenditure claims to the research funder in a timely manner Supporting the delivery of successful audits across the team to retain the University's good reputation for adherence to financial guidelines. Provide professional and knowledgeable customer service to all stakeholders in their dealings with the Research Finance team
