About The Role
We're looking for a hands-on, qualified accountant to join our small but ambitious team at Morgan Curtis Properties. If you love variety in your role, are passionate about business and property, and thrive in an environment where you can help shape the way things are done, we'd love to hear from you.
This is more than a bookkeeping role - we need someone who can take ownership of producing timely and accurate management accounts across several businesses, help improve financial systems, and work directly with the founder to support growth plans.
You'll be joining a small team based in a home office in Sale, so this role requires you to be on-site three full days per week - with flexibility around start and finish times. You'll need to be confident in setting up systems and processes, genuinely enjoy working in Excel, and have a forward-thinking approach to technology and tools.
What You'll Be Doing
Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
Working with our virtual assistant (based in the Philippines) to manage day-to-day bookkeeping
Setting up and refining financial systems and processes
Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards
Overseeing accounts payable and receivable
Managing cashflow, investor returns, and loan repayments
Helping with property deal analysis and financial modelling in Excel
Preparing documents for finance applications
Supporting Companies House filings and other statutory submissions
Handling payroll journals and director expenses
Offering light admin support (emails, post, file organisation, etc.)
What We're Looking For
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in preparing management accounts
Excellent Excel skills and financial modelling capability
Familiar with Xero and confident using and setting up tools and systems
Detail-oriented, highly organised, and self-sufficient
A natural systems-thinker - loves making processes slicker and more effective
Someone who genuinely enjoys small business life - variety, responsibility, and working closely with the owner
A strong interest in property or previous experience in the property sector would be a big plus
