Job Description

Join a nationally significant infrastructure programme as a Senior Finance Business Partner. Drive accountability, cost control, and financial performance while leading a high-performing team.

  • Provide strategic financial support to senior leaders, influencing decision-making and cost management.
  • Embed a culture of accountability, cost control, and productivity across supported directorates.
  • Lead on financial planning, budgeting, reforecasting, and cash flow submissions.
  • Deliver clear and insightful reporting, variance analysis, and performance interventions.
  • Review and challenge business cases and funding requests to ensure value for money.
  • Oversee financial controls, governance, and compliance with HM Treasury requirements.
  • Manage and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, supporting skills growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive consistent reporting methodologies and financial processes across the programme.
Play a pivotal role in one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure programmesLead a high-performing finance partnering team in a fast-paced environment
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven track record in finance business partnering within a complex or large-scale environment.
  • Knowledge of government accounting requirements (DEL/AME funding) highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to identify and drive performance improvements.
  • Experience managing teams and delivering results to challenging deadlines.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, data analytics tools, and complex Excel modelling.
