About us
The UCL Finance Business Partnering team provides strategically focused support to leadership teams across UCL. The team forges strong relationships with stakeholders to enable expert advice, critical challenge and timely decision support to enable the best financial performance. The team is responsible for building trusted relationships and providing professional financial advice to UCL stakeholders.
About the role
As Senior Business Partner - Estates, you'll be responsible for leading the business partnering relationship with a senior budget holder and other budget holders, as part of the newly formed and re-positioned finance business partnering team.
You will build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams. You'll lead on financial and resource matters; influence decision-making; improve the understanding of business performance; support business strategy development; deliver analysis and insight on business opportunities; and provide options and scenarios for business decisions.
This high profile and vital role provides wide ranging support on strategic and financial matters across their business area and the wider University.
This is a fixed term position for a period of twelve months.

About you
To do this job you'll need:

  • A full accountancy qualification (CCAB) with evidence of up-to-date technical knowledge
  • A track record of providing financial partnership to senior leaders
  • Experience of working in a Business Partnering role within a complex organisation
  • Demonstrable negotiation, relationship building, and conflict resolutions skills
  • Evidenced excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity of messages, ideas and facts
  • Experience of delivering financial analysis and producing reports to non-finance staff, demonstrating measurable outcomes
