To provide and ensure that the production and delivery of location specific accounting information is validated and has integrity. Complying with NAAFI accounting policies, internal accounting procedures and accounting standards and recommending areas of improvement and simplification where possible and keeping all procedure notes up to date. To produce information that is accurate and delivered within specified timescales. To always demonstrate integrity and respect in all aspects of daily duties. This role is based at our Head Office in Whiteley.
Responsibilities:
Line manage, mentor, and develop your team of Finance Location Managers and together deliver high quality MI and financial analysis of all trading activities across Royal NAAFI locations.
Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly P&L reports in line with NAAFI accounting policy, whilst challenging and highlighting any variances, ensuring regular communication to the business
Regular liaison with budget holders to review costs against budget and overall performance and trends.
Analysing key trends and highlighting these to senior management to support decision making
Improve internal efficiencies and output quality through process enhancements and collaboration with internal and external teams.
Support Director of Finance with budgeting and business planning activities
Attend weekly trading meetings to support and develop financial understanding across all NAAFI teams and communicate operational decision back to the finance team.
Support the wider finance team with ad hoc projects as required
Ensure appropriate financial and internal controls are in place as required
Support on annual audit at year end
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Qualified ACA / ACCA (or equivalent)
2 years line management experience
Demonstratable analytical ability
Strong organisational skills
Excellent written and numerical skills
Proficient IT skills included Excel
Experience of analysis of transactions in a high value/volume environment
Ability to work on under your own initiative and as part of a team
An understanding of foreign currency
Desirable Skills:
Experience of business central operating system
