Angling Direct, the UK's leading omni-channel fishing tackle retailer, are looking for a Senior Finance Manager/ Financial Controller to take ownership of critical financial control and reporting responsibilities.



You'll be working in a collaborative and forward-thinking team where your insight, problem-solving skills, and commercial acumen will directly influence the future of our business.





What You Will Do
Lead the preparation of

accurate management accounts

and KPI reports with meaningful analysis. Support

AIM market reporting obligations

, ensuring smooth interim and annual reporting cycles. Maintain a strong

financial control and systems environment

aligned with Plc standards. Oversee

treasury management

, including rolling cashflow forecasts and FX hedging. Build and manage

budgets, forecasts, and scenario models

to guide decision-making. Take charge of

VAT and indirect tax compliance

across the Group. Deliver

ad-hoc financial analysis

to support strategic business decisions.

What We Are Looking For
Qualified Accountant (

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA

). Strong commercial outlook with the ability to quickly grasp business drivers. Analytical, curious, and creative thinker with a data-driven approach. Proven experience working under pressure and managing shifting priorities. Confident communicator who can work with stakeholders at all levels. Advantageous experience: + Plc reporting & IFRS knowledge
+ Multi-site and multi-currency consolidations
Tech-savvy with

advanced Excel

skills (essential). ERP (Epicor or similar) and/or SQL experience is a big plus. Available to be based in our

Rackheath Head Office at least 4 days a week
