Set within UCL's Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources (BSEER) is comprised of four world-class Institutes, providing the expert knowledge collaborative research and teaching of UCL Energy Institute, UCL Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering, UCL Institute for Sustainable Heritage and UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources.



BSEER is a fast growing, internationally renowned School for cross-disciplinary research with economists, energy modellers, social scientists, building engineers, physicists and heritage specialists all working to mitigate climate change.


The Professional Services

Team

provide administrative support to the four Institutes, combining expertise in, amongst other things, management and delivery of research proposals, teaching programmes, recruitment/HR and finance administration.


About the role

This position centers around providing finance administration support across the BSEER by administering the financial activities of the School and providing comprehensive and effective service to all staff within the School. Working closely with the Operations Manager and School Manager the post holder will ensure effective budgetary management and reporting.



This position plays a vital role in the management and support of UCL-Consultancy projects managed by BSEER and is essential to the continued success of the School's expanding portfolio.


This post is available from July and is a permanent position, eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% on site.

About you


-------------


Educated to a degree level in business management, or related studies, or holding commensurate experience, the successful candidate will be a part-qualified accountant or studying for an accountancy qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, and have knowledge of financial processes and regulations associated with general financial administration.



The post holder will have sound financial skills and a broad range of administration skills including relationship-building, client-liaison, and the ability to learn and develop new systems and processes.



The post holder is expected to be adaptable, quickly assimilate information and establish their own networks across UCL, confidently interacting with many stakeholders both internal and external to UCL.
