Job Purpose




The Finance department is part of the ICE Corporate organization and is responsible for financial planning & analysis. This role is in the London Finance team supports the Fixed Income and Data Services business segment - this segment has annual global revenues of approximately $2bn. The role reports to a director based in London who in turn reports to the senior director in New York who oversees the Fixed Income & Data Services Finance team.



The role supports the processes for the planning & analysis of various products with the business segment which:

enable the management team to set budgets and track revenue performance provide forecast information to the CFO to support the quarterly SEC earnings & revenue guidance process

Responsibilities



Revenue planning & analysis for the following product areas with their approx. annual revenues + ICE Global Network (IGN) - $400m
+ Pricing and Reference Data EMEA - $150m
+ ICE Data Derivatives - $120m
+ Feeds EMEA - $30m
FX variance calculations Erosion pipeline analysis Implementation & backlog analysis The above responsibilities are carried out in the context of 12 monthly forecasting cycles and one annual budgeting cycle ICE Global Network (IGN) - IGN is ICE's connectivity business which provides a secure, resilient network connecting customers to trading venues. + Maintain/update the IGN revenue model for the monthly forecasting cycle and annual budget - this model is large & complex and requires great attention to detail
+ Manage/oversee an analyst team member's work on the IGN net new business process for monthly actual billing - this task involves the analysis of very large datasets from the IGN billing systems to categorize the month-to-month revenue movements in Annual Subscription Value (ASV)
+ Report monthly erosion to Relationship Management teams based on the net new business process above - identify reasons for variances to forecast
+ Analyze month-to-month movements in the sales implementations and backlog reports as part of ASV reporting and sales implementation projections
+ Prepare monthly forecast slide presentations and present these to senior management and field their questions
Pricing and Reference Data EMEA - this business sells data covering listed markets pricing, fixed income evaluated pricing, reference data & corporate actions + Maintain/update the PRD UK revenue & ASV models for monthly forecasting cycle and annual budget
+ Oversee the analyst who covers the PRD Italy revenue model
+ Liaise with the UK Accounting team to ensure accurate update of ASV by customer for each monthly reporting period and understand variances in actual v forecast revenue
ICE Data Derivatives (IDD) + Maintain/update IDD revenue model for the monthly forecasting cycle
+ Liaise with the Tel Aviv Accounting team to ensure accurate update of ASV by customer and understand variances in actual v forecast revenue
+ Prepare monthly forecast slide presentations and present these to IDD Product management team and field their questions
Feeds EMEA + Maintain/update Feeds revenue model for the monthly forecast cycle and annual budget
+ Liaise with the UK Accounting team to ensure accurate update of ASV by customer for each monthly reporting period and understand variances in actual v forecast revenue
FX Variance calculations + Maintain/update the models which calculate the impact of the changes in monthly FX rates on revenue variances again budget, forecasting & prior year
+ Send FX impact files to the FIDS Finance team so the data can be used to normalize revenue variances to exclude FX impacts
Erosion pipeline analysis + Review & validate Salesforce erosion pipeline report with Relationship Management team it to assess the appropriateness of the erosion forecast
Implementation and backlog analysis (PRD) + Validate the monthly implemented sales and closing backlog using both revenue/ASV analysis and liaising with the Sales Operations team to resolve queries

Knowledge and Experience



Undergraduate Honours degree - Upper Second (or equivalent), Finance-related subjects preferred (e.g. Business, Accounting/Finance, Economics) Several years' experience in a Finance/Accounting environment Strong Excel skills including the full range of functions typically used in an FP&A function with ability and confidence to deal with very large models and datasets Competent PowerPoint skills Strong communication skills both written and verbal including ability to prepare high quality, clear presentations as part of the monthly forecasting process A high degree of confidence dealing with ICE colleagues including those in senior leadership positions * Strong enquiring mind and attitude with desire to identify areas where existing processes can be made more efficient and accurate
