We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Senior Financial Assurance Analyst to join the University of Oxford's Finance Division. This critical role combines risk management, financial assurance, data analytics and people leadership to help ensure financial integrity and sound governance at one of the world's most prestigious universities.

Location

: Great Clarendon Street, Oxford with the option of some hybrid/remote working

Salary:

Grade 8: 48,235 - 57,255 per annum

About the Role



This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to engage with cross-functional initiatives aimed at safeguarding the organisation's financial resources. You will also need to be able to talk credibly to a range of stakeholders, and provide line management and professional leadership to two Financial Assurance Analysts.
You will be part of the second line reporting on key financial controls and other areas of financial compliance, and will work closely with both the University's Finance Division and Assurance Directorate to deliver reporting to the University's Audit & Scrutiny Committee.

About You



A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Significant experience in financial assurance, audit or risk management in complex organisations.

Strong analytical and data visualisation skills.

Proven experience leading or managing a team.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

High ethical standards, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.


Experience in higher education or familiarity with systems like Oracle, SAP, or Insight4GRC is an advantage.
