About the role




As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate, forward-looking financial insight through budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.


Key responsibilities




Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):




Lead the Group's budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Develop and enhance the Group's current financial models ensuring robust and fit for purpose. Collaborate with finance and budget owners to develop performance metrics and KPIs.

Data Analysis and Reporting:




Collect, analyse, and interpret financial data to support business decisions. Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Provide key data insights to customer and key stakeholders to help improve profitability and business performance. Create financial models to predict future trends and identify potential risks and opportunities. Work with stakeholders across the Group to prioritise business and information needs. Support preparation of Board packs and investor reports.

Strategic Support:




Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and business cases. Identify trends and patterns in financial data to support strategic decision-making. Develop and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.

Process Improvement:




Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial reporting and analysis processes. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in BI tools and techniques.

Skills and experience




Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) Significant experience in FP&A within a private equity-backed or corporate environment with high turnover (100m-300m) Strong skills in financial modelling, forecasting, project modelling and analysis Exposure to multi-site and multi-entity operations Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong experience with BI/reporting tools Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Comfortable working in a fast paced, demanding environment High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
