An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Planning & Appraisal professional to join a high-performing trading organisation. The role focuses on supporting complex trading activities through robust financial modelling, analysis, and reporting, providing key insights to senior stakeholders and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Deliver clear, actionable analysis across trading portfolios, including P&L, mark-to-market, and cash flow performance.
- Partner closely with commercial, finance, and operations teams to drive informed decision-making and value creation.
- Prepare insightful management reports and presentations for senior leadership and board-level discussions.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in financial planning, analysis, or appraisal within a trading or energy environment.
- Strong understanding of trading finance concepts including derivatives, mark-to-market, and economic vs IFRS reporting.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills with proficiency in SAP and CTRM systems.
- Recognised accounting or finance qualification (ACA, CPA, CIMA, CFA) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
