We're seeking a forward thinking and collaborative leader to head our Financial Reporting team, an integral part of our wider Finance department. This is a high-impact opportunity for a qualified accountant who thrives on delivering clarity, driving performance, and influencing strategic decisions across a dynamic professional services environment.
As Senior Financial Reporting Manager, you'll work closely with our Head of Commercial Finance to lead a team responsible for financial control, management reporting, and statutory accounts. You'll play an essential role in the annual budgeting cycle, oversee monthly management accounts, and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards. Your insights will help shape firmwide decisions, and your leadership will foster a culture of continuous improvement and commercial awareness.
What You'll Be Doing
Financial Reporting:
Deliver accurate and timely consolidated annual financial statements for the LLP and its subsidiaries. Lead the audit process and maintain strong relationships with external auditors. Own and evolve our cashflow reporting and monthly management accounts.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the preparation and consolidation of expenditure budgets and forecasts. Present financial insights to senior stakeholders and support Board reporting. Partner with budget holders to refine project budgets and ensure robust financial governance.
Business Partnering:
Become a trusted advisor across the firm. Provide financial analysis that supports strategic decision-making and enhances performance. Champion the development of business intelligence tools and deliver training to improve commercial awareness.
What We're Looking For
A qualified accountant with experience producing consolidated financial statements and managing audits.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a high-performing team.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative and curious mindset.
High accountability, with a proven ability to take ownership and consistently deliver work to an high standard
Technical expertise in UK Financial Standards and advanced Excel skills.
Experience in professional services and familiarity with Aderant Expert would be advantageous.
