Summary

We are seeking a Senior Fire Engineer to join our dynamic team in. This pivotal role involves designing and implementing fire safety systems that align with our mission of ensuring safety and compliance for our clients. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the success of our projects at Facility Services Group.

About the role

As a Senior Fire Systems Engineer, you'll take the lead on the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems, emergency lighting, and fire suppression systems. You'll ensure all projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, specification, and commissioning of fire alarm and suppression systems.

Conduct site surveys and produce accurate designs and documentation.

Oversee installations to ensure compliance with BS 5839, and other relevant standards. Fault-find and carry out system maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime.

Provide technical support and guidance to clients and junior engineers.

Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure smooth delivery

About you

Minimum 5 years' experience in fire systems engineering.

Strong working knowledge of BS 5839, BS 5266, and associated British Standards.

Experience with major fire alarm brands (e.g. Advanced, Kentec, Gent, Apollo, Hochiki).

Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

FIA training or equivalent certification (desirable).

Full UK driving licence.
