Main Duties and Responsibilities

Senior Flow Assurance Engineer is required to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:

Perform steady-state and transient multiphase flow simulations using OLGA, LedaFLOW, or similar software to assess pipeline hydraulics, thermal behaviour, and operability under various scenarios. Conduct investigations and analyses of various production systems (onshore, deepwater, etc.) with the overall objective of sustaining flow. Design hydrate management strategies and insulation requirements for flowlines/pipeline and risers. Contribute flow assurance input during conceptual design, FEED, and detailed engineering phases across multiple offshore projects. Analyse wax deposition, asphaltene stability, and solids transport issues using industry software and fluid characterization techniques (e.g., PVTsim, Multiflash). Provide operational support for pigging, chemical injection, troubleshooting, and production optimisation, collaborating closely with production and operations teams. Prepare high-quality technical reports and Flow Assurance Basis of Design (BoD) documents to internal stakeholders and external clients. Participate in multidisciplinary reviews including HAZID, HAZOP, and design risk assessments. Apply AFT Impulse for water hammer analysis where required.

Key Skills and Competencies

Software Proficiency: OLGA, LedaFlow, Pipesim, PVTsim, Multiflash, PipePhase, and HYSYS.

Hands-on Flow Assurance Expertise:

Transient and steady-state multiphase flow modelling Slugging analysis and mitigation Cooldown/restart analysis Thermal insulation design Wax, hydrate, and scale management Solids transport (e.g., sand) Fluid Characterisation: Equation of state tuning, PVT data interpretation, wax/hydrate curve generation.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related discipline is required. A master's degree is an advantage. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in flow assurance or related fields.
