Job Description

We are looking for a keen, experienced person to work in a senior Front of House staff role and join us in our historic tea rooms and boutique guest rooms in Kew Village. We (the team members) are all hardworking, self-motivated and proud to work at this historic setting.

We are open 7 days a week, Monday to Friday from 10am until 6pm and on the weekends from 9am until 6pm currently. Ideally, the role is for someone who is looking for full-time work (36-46 hours per week) but we also have a part-time role available. Both roles would include working over weekend days.

The maximum pay advertised is

gross aggregate

and includes the normal share of discretionary service charge (shared by all staff).

You will have experience of working in a busy restaurant, cafe, hotel or similar hospitality environment. Duties will include some of the following

All normal front of house duties (that you will be well aware of) and also Middle of House (where orders are put together before going to tables).

Taking orders for customers in the restaurant and make sure that they are well looked after

Attending to room guests, and directing and supervising spruce, change-overs and associated duties

Preparing and directing orders in the middle of house for customers in the restaurant

Serving customers in the shop (for take away goods and gifts etc)

End of day closing duties such as cleaning, stocking- up etc.

Preparing advance orders for collection, shipping and delivery

Barista duties

You will have a hands-on approach to your work and an eye for detail with old-fashioned service and essentially always doing a great job (which will not go unnoticed) no matter how busy it is :-)
