As we continue to scale, we're looking for a talented and experienced

Senior Full Stack Developer

to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to play a central part in shaping the architecture and functionality of our industry-leading platform.

About the Role

You'll be working across the full stack, primarily using PHP (CodeIgniter and Laravel) for backend services and Vue.js (Composition API) for frontend development. You'll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to build scalable, performant, and user-centric applications that help our customers deliver world-class programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development:

Build, maintain, and optimise backend systems using PHP (Laravel and CodeIgniter).

Design secure, scalable, and efficient MySQL database schemas.

Develop RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.

Drive architectural discussions and decisions around performance and scalability.

Maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines, utilising Docker for containerisation.

Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following SOLID principles.

Proactively troubleshoot and resolve backend issues to ensure platform stability.

Frontend Development:

Deliver responsive and accessible interfaces using Vue.js (Vue 3 Composition API) and Tailwind CSS.

Integrate APIs into frontend components to ensure seamless UX.

Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure technical feasibility of designs.

Optimise performance, accessibility, and interactivity across browsers and devices.

Apply modern state management approaches using composables and Pinia.

General / Collaboration:

Contribute to the evolution of the platform's technical strategy and product architecture.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.

Engage in agile ceremonies and cross-functional team planning sessions.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Minimum 8 years of professional experience in full-stack or backend development roles.

Strong command of PHP with expert knowledge of the Laravel framework.

Solid experience with Vue.js or a similar modern JS framework.

Proficiency in MySQL database design and query optimisation.

Hands-on experience with RESTful API architecture and integration.

Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD tools.

Experience with Docker and containerised development workflows.

Proven track record of writing secure, performant, and well-tested code.

Nice to Have

Experience with testing frameworks: PHPUnit, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright.

Shopify development knowledge.

Experience with Craft CMS or similar headless/content platforms.

Exposure to cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools.
