Established for over twenty-nine years, Entel is an international Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) which has firmly established itself as a prominent leading global player in the radio communications industry. Entel operates its own design and manufacturing divisions, with distribution centres throughout the world.
Due to a product portfolio expansion, we are seeking an experienced (minimum 5 years' experience) skilled full stack software developer to assist Entel in this expansion period.
This role is based at our Cambridge office, with hybrid working arrangements available.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Directly reporting to the software engineering manager, you will play an active role in the full coding lifecycle, from requirements specification, design, code and test.
Essential
:
5 years of Linux Server development experience with some of the following PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Apache
Proficiency with database design and implementation e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL
Proficiency with IP and mobile networking
Websites and web services
Bug tracking tools, e.g. JIRA
Code repository tools, e.g. Git
Desirable
:
Asterisk and related protocols e.g. SIP, RTP, RCTP, WebRTC
Docker
SSL and security
Cloud services experience e.g. AWS & Azure
Test driven development
CI/CD
System architecture
Personal

Team player, ability to collaborate in a team environment
