We are seeking a skilled Senior Geospatial Engineer to join our team in Kent. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in geospatial technologies and data management, with expertise in CAD, N4CE and Leica Register. This role involves the integration of various geospatial data sources to support project development and decision-making processes.
The Senior Geospatial Engineer will play a pivotal role in the company mentoring and managing in-house staff, maintaining company standards in the field all the way through processing the data to final deliverables. They will also be expected to contribute , conducting land surveying, and ensuring the accuracy of spatial data.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage geospatial data to support project requirements.
Utilise CAD software, including AutoCAD/BricsCAD, for creating detailed drawings.
Proficient in undertaking measured building surveys, specifically, floorplans, elevations, sections etc for a range of sectors including residential, industrial and heritage.
Conduct land surveying activities to gather accurate geographical data.
Undertaking engineering surveys such as setting out and monitoring.
Mentor and manage other members of the team
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geospatial information into broader project frameworks.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in geospatial technology.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all geospatial activities.
Experience
Proven experience in geospatial engineering for a minimum of 8 years.
Proficiency in CAD software, particularly N4CE, Leica Register and AutoCAD/BricsCAD.
Experience in leading large land surveying projects.
Experience in laser scanning for a range of sectors including residential, industrial, heritage etc.
Demonstratable experience in project management.
Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements on a range of sites.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
