We are currently expanding our Belfast operations to accommodate increasing demand from our solid client base, which includes many of Northern Ireland's premier civil and building contractors. You will contribute to creating value for our clients by developing expert technical solutions for complex problems on large infrastructure projects. Typically, these projects will be at construction stage, and the issues we address are real and immediate. We offer opportunities to work on a variety of projects including tunnels, shafts, deep basements and station boxes, railway earthworks and structures, marine structures and other assets. Assisted by your team, you will be given responsibility for overall project delivery, from client management to development of technical solutions and cost and program control. You will be challenged but you will find this position highly rewarding.

Key Accountabilities:



The candidate will have responsibility for client interface, technical direction, budgetary control and day to day management of junior engineers. Management of relationships with key clients and contacts across the business including client liaison and development Management of projects within time, cost and quality constraints and standards Management of the day-to-day work of the team. Monitors and manages compliance and KPI's Business development including the preparation of tender submissions. Estimating, pricing and delivering against work targets.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:



6+ years' experience in Geotechnical design Has achieved Chartered status Ideally have a degree in Civil Engineering Deep understanding of the principles of Civil/Geotechnical Engineering Demonstrate an ability to understand complex problems and to conceive innovative solutions Experienced & confident with report writing and presentation skills Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships and always aiming to exceeding client expectations Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations Represent and promote Byrne Looby Partners in a professional manner and develop effective working relationships with clients and potential clients Is committed to Continued Professional Development
