Role



We are looking for an innovative and experienced Product Category Manager to join Huntleigh Healthcare's Global Product Management and Marketing Team. The role will focus on growing the global Huntleigh Healthcare Obstetric business.

You will report into the Global Director of Product Management and Marketing and will take responsibility for Huntleigh's Obtetrics product portfolio lifecycle management including driving new product development projects, supporting current portfolio commercialisation, as well as coaching a Clinical Product Manager.

You will work closely with R&D, Sales, marketing and other supportive functions. You will liase with external partners to help in the continuing development of the Huntleigh's portfolio and help ensure the Huntleigh business meets its' growth targets over the coming years.

Huntleigh Healthcare is part of the Arjo Group and takes its strategic mandate from the Arjo Group business strategy. There may be a requirement to assist and work with group colleagues to assist in group development activities. The business may also enter into Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) arrangements with other companies and this role will oversee those arrangements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:



Strategic planning and tactical support

Work with Management team, sales and marketing to influence an effective market strategy for the product category. Collaborate with other key functions to establish global product management and lifecycle strategies. Review key market drivers to produce sales and marketing plan to grown the obstetric sales globally. Work with R&D, and external key stake holders to collaborate on new product development projects including VOC, product requirements definition, business cases. Work with the marketing team to plan global upstream product launches. Drive local downstream marketing activities including but not limited to product training, clinical education events, customer meetings. Gather and analyse market and customer insights, conduct competitor research to help develop products, and manage product lifecycles. Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the clinical and functional performance of the product to support customers and colleagues in product utilisation.

Leadership



Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholder and co-ordinate projects for timely completion. Develop and nurture relationship with external supplier, customers and thought leaders. Lead projects and direct report by example.

Marketing



Produce a marketing road map of marketing activities and resources utilisation Work with marketing to develop the product(s) brand, value proposition, claims and supportive evidence. Provide input in the creation of marketing content,collaterals and campaigns.

Financial



Create business cases, profit analysis and forecasting to help develop, improve product marketing strategies. Produce portfolio business performance analysis.

Areas of operation



This is a global role therefore UK and international travelling will be expected (up to 40% mostly within UK). This is a full time position, based in the headquarter in Cardiff.

Build quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

Regulatory System Duties and Responsibility



Assist team with Complaints handling, Clinical Evidence Plans, Clinical Evaluation reports and Post Market surveillance.

Work with colleagues in maintaining compliance to all quality requirement of the business

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:


Degree in Marketing, business administration, Engineering, medical technology, clinical science required Proven min 7 year experience in the medical technology industry required, preferably in the patient monitoring, CTG technology sector required Proven prior 7 year experience in category / product management, marketing, sales, technical support, clinical support or clinical management essential required Proven prior managerial experience prefered Excellent standard of English and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint Physically fit to travel internationally
