Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced and passionate

Senior Hairdressing Lecturer

to lead the delivery of

NVQ Level 2 & 3 Hairdressing qualifications

under a fast-track model. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong teaching and assessing skills, excellent technical ability, and the confidence to support both learners and junior educators.

The ideal candidate will hold both teaching and assessor qualifications, with an

IQA qualification

being a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver structured and engaging practical and theory lessons for NVQ Level 2 & 3 Hairdressing. Support learners through fast-track programmes, ensuring timely qualification completion. Conduct assessments, observations, and give regular, constructive feedback. Track learner progress and contribute to individual learning plans. Maintain accurate records in line with internal and awarding body requirements. Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement, and standardisation. Support junior educators (if applicable) and work collaboratively with the wider team.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing (or equivalent) Recognised teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent) Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, or equivalent) Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in hairdressing education Up-to-date industry knowledge and excellent technical skills Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills Passion for learner development and career progression

Desirable:

IQA qualification (or working towards) Experience in delivering fast-track or private training programmes
