Reporting to the Senior Safety Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving both strategic and operational improvements, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance across a diverse portfolio of clients.
This is a home-based position requiring regular travel across the region. The role is 45 hours per week, with flexibility required to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Review and continually improve clients' health & safety policies, procedures, and strategies.
Promote strong HSE performance and encourage a proactive, positive safety culture.
Conduct fire risk assessments and provide expert advice.
Lead operational audits, accident investigations, training, and risk assessments.
Provide clear risk management advice, identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks effectively.
Deliver HSE updates and reports to Director level.
Carry out health & safety audits across industries, including construction, producing KPI reports, action plans, and solutions.
Support Employer Liability claims in liaison with the Insurance Claims Department.
Ensure best practice across client operations, maintaining compliance with legal and policy requirements.
Prepare and distribute quotations.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
NEBOSH Fire Management Certificate (or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years' experience in a management role, with proven success in driving HSE improvements.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Practical, solution-driven approach to safety management.
In-depth knowledge of current HSE legislation.
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Able to train others in various H&S subjects.
IT proficiency and full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
TechIOSH or GradIOSH membership.
Teacher Training certificate (or equivalent).
