We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team, providing compassionate support and care to residents within a care home setting. Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with individual care plans
Support residents with mobility and daily activities, promoting independence where possible
Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals and maintain accurate records
Supervise and oversee activities of junior staff or volunteers, ensuring high standards of care are maintained
Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure holistic and person-centred care
Maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Support residents during outings or appointments outside the care home using appropriate transportation methods
Requirements
Previous experience working within a care home or senior care environment is highly desirable
Supervising or leadership experience within healthcare settings is advantageous
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
IT literacy for maintaining accurate documentation and updating care plans
Driving licence preferred to assist with transportation duties
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in providing high-quality resident care
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
