Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for senior care, and the ability to work effectively within a team. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of our residents while ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents and their families to provide updates on health and well-being. Monitor and report any changes in residents' conditions to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist with administrative tasks as required. Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the leadership of care initiatives within the home. Supervise junior staff or volunteers, providing guidance and support as necessary. Medication Administration

Requirements

Previous experience in a healthcare or senior care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents and colleagues. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating via electronic systems. A genuine passion for providing compassionate care to seniors. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership qualities when required. Medication Administration.
