Job Overview


Our experienced management and nursing team are supported by a skilled team of Health Care Assistants who provide effective, person-centred care for those needing, residential, nursing or dementia care.

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Senior Health Care Assistant;

Full time or Part time hours on rota.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, kind, patient and considerate and who is sociable and enjoys being with people. The role includes providing dignified personal care, assisting during mealtimes, light domestic duties, preparing drinks and snacks and any support that our residents may need to live their lives.

Every day at the home is different, you will meet people from every walk of life and hear some amazing life stories. Each resident is unique with individual care needs and personalities. Your contribution will be immensely enjoyable as you will build strong relationships based on understanding, trust and genuine care.

Key Responsibilities



Supervising and instructing care assistants in all aspects of their work in the home, giving help and guidance where appropriate. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring that each resident within the home has an individualised Care Plan. Reading care plans thoroughly in order to ensure that the residents needs are being fully met. Care Plans to be monitored, updated and audited on an ongoing basis in line with Treetops policies and procedures Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Follow care plans meticulously to ensure each patient's individual needs are met. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient progress. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Document patient care activities accurately and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Support patients in engaging with social activities to promote their mental and emotional well-being.

Experience



Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in home care or care homes, is preferred but not essential. as full training will be provided. Familiarity with IT systems for documentation and communication purposes is advantageous. A good command of English is necessary for effective communication with patients and colleagues. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
