Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and a strong understanding of care plans. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for supervising and assisting with daily activities while fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents in daily activities, promoting independence and dignity. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress. Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care and improvements. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is essential. Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership skills within a healthcare environment. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with residents, families, and colleagues. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is an advantage. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties when required.
