Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with both residents and their families. You will play a crucial role in supporting daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the well-being of those in your care. Leadership qualities and the ability to supervise other staff members are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Implement individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home. Document all care provided accurately and promptly in accordance with regulatory standards. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.

Requirements

Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with residents and team members. Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting residents when necessary. Leadership qualities with experience in supervising others is desirable. Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is beneficial. A compassionate approach to caregiving with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents. IT skills for maintaining records and documentation efficiently.
