Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a care home environment. This position requires a proactive approach to supporting individuals with their daily activities and implementing care plans tailored to their specific needs.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents in daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans. Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment within the care home.

Skills

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and team members. Experience or knowledge in senior care practices is highly desirable. Leadership abilities to supervise and guide junior staff effectively. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes. Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately. A compassionate approach to caregiving, demonstrating empathy towards residents' needs. Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting residents when necessary.

Pay: 13.50-14.00 per hour
