is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and highly motivated

Senior Health Care Assistant (HCA) / Support Worker

to join our dedicated team in

Telford and the surrounding areas

. This is a crucial role requiring not only proven experience in senior care but also a

valid UK driver's license and consistent use of your own reliable vehicle

. You will be essential in providing high-quality care and support to clients, travelling efficiently to their locations, assisting with care plans, and supporting junior staff.

Schedule and Commitment

We are looking for candidates who can provide consistent care.

Availability during weekdays (Monday to Friday) is highly desired and preferred.

Mandatory Weekend Commitment:

All applicants

must be available

to work either

every weekend

or

alternate weekends

(Saturday and Sunday). If a candidate has

no weekday availability

, they must commit to working

every single weekend

to fulfill the necessary hours.

Key Duties

Provide

personal care

and support, including assistance with daily living activities, dressing, and meal preparation.

Travel efficiently

between clients' homes across the Telford area to ensure timely delivery of care as outlined in individual care plans. Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans tailored to client needs. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to maintain continuity of care. Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a positive and supportive team environment. Maintain accurate records of client progress and changes using required IT systems. Ensure a safe and clean environment for all clients by strictly adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is

essential

.

A valid UK driving licence and consistent use of your own reliable car are mandatory.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a genuinely compassionate approach towards clients. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. IT proficiency for maintaining digital care records.

Must have the legal right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
