As a
Senior Health Care Assistant
, you will play a vital dual role -- providing exceptional, person-centred care to clients in their own homes while also supporting the organisation's growth by helping to attract, onboard, and retain new clients. You'll act as a bridge between management, staff, and service users, ensuring quality standards are consistently met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities

Client Care & Support
Deliver high-quality personal care and support to individuals in line with person-centered care plans.
Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, continence care), mobility, and meal preparation.
Administer or prompt medication safely in accordance with policies and care plans.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing and reduce isolation.
Observe, record, and promptly report changes in a client's health or behaviour.
Ensure all care documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
Leadership & Supervision
Support, mentor, and guide junior carers to uphold high-quality standards of care.
Assist management with staff supervision, spot checks, and competency assessments.
Help develop and review personalised care plans alongside the care coordinator or manager.
Promote teamwork, reliability, and a culture of compassion within the care team.
Client & Business Development
Proactively identify and build relationships with potential new clients, families, and referral partners.
Represent the company professionally in the community to promote services and generate new care packages.
Attend local events, networking meetings, or hospital/community outreach opportunities to raise awareness of the service.
Provide feedback and insights from client interactions to support service improvement and business growth.
Support new client onboarding by conducting initial visits, introducing staff, and ensuring smooth service start-up.
Compliance & Quality
Uphold Care Quality Commission (CQC) fundamental standards at all times.
Ensure adherence to infection control, health & safety, and confidentiality policies.
Promote equality, dignity, and respect in all client interactions.
Requirements
Right to work in the UK.
NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
.
Experience in domiciliary or residential care
with proven reliability and initiative.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Confident working independently and supporting colleagues.
Compassionate, professional, and business-minded approach to care delivery.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
(preferred).
Enhanced
DBS check
required.
Additional Information
Travel between client homes may be required.
Shift patterns include mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Ongoing training, PPE, and regular supervision will be provided.
