Job Description

Sir Robert McAlpine have been appointed as Construction Manager on Therme Manchester, the UK's first urban wellbeing resort.





Therme will combine the largest thermal pool complex in Europe under one roof, indoor and outdoor, botanical gardens, and immersive art, creating a world-class environment focused on wellbeing. There will also be more than 25 water slides, the largest sauna area in the UK, multiple steam rooms, and a wave pool for children and families.

Senior Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager role







The purpose of a Senior HS&W Manager Therme is to support stakeholders to achieve the highest levels of HS&W performance. A key member of the HS&W team, working closely with the project teams and project supply chain members to give high quality HS&W support.





The Senior HS&W Manager will be an integral member of the Project Senior Leadership Team; who will be responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of the project health, safety and wellbeing strategy. An important part of the team who promotes and aspirers to achieve an industry health and safety on this project.




Your profile







Essential:


Member of IOSH NEBOSH Construction Certificate Major project delivery of providing highly technical H&S support to complex Construction or Civil Engineering projects (circa 150m value) Excellent people leadership skills In-depth knowledge of UK Health & Safety Law Enhanced knowledge of CDM Regulations Competent understanding and ability to apply root cause analysis Excellent communication and influencing skills Experience of leading HS&W improvement with successful results A proactive approach to your own learning and development




Desired:


Chartered member of IOSH NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5/6 in Occupational Health and Safety Mental Health First Aider Sound understanding of behavioural psychology and human factors
