We have an opportunity for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in the Nursing department.
This is a Full time role for 35 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
Deliver person-centred care including assisting with personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, toileting, and emotional support.
Carry out basic clinical tasks such as monitoring vital signs, blood glucose levels, and patient observations (following training and competency).
Assist with clinical procedures and the preparation of equipment and materials.
Act as a role model and mentor to junior healthcare assistants, supporting their development and integration into the team.
Ensure a clean, well-stocked, and organised clinical area that supports effective care delivery.
Accurately record care provided and observations in line with organisational and legal requirements.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification/experience).
Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting.
Ability to carry out delegated clinical tasks safely and confidently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to support and supervise junior staff members.
