Pay rate: 30,112/per annum
The shifts are 12 hours on a rota basis to include nights, weekends and bank holidays. Shift times would be:
Day Shift = 07:30 > 19:45
Night Shift = 19:30 > 07:45
Due to a genuine occupational requirement, you will ideally hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for this particular role.
Priory Hospital Llanarth Court, located in Usk, Monmouthshire, offers secure services for adults. We provide a specialist assessment and treatment service for people with mental health conditions, who present with a variety of behaviours that challenge. We also have an additional facility within the grounds of the hospital, offering opportunities for individuals who require bespoke packages of care, as part of our bespoke therapeutic placement (BTP) offering.
What you'll be doing

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
As a
Senior Healthcare Assistant
, you'll be part of a large multi-disciplinary team to support our patients to receive optimal care. Our treatment aims at site are to promote independence and encourage patient involvement in their care through effective communication and engagement.
The successful candidate must be honest, hardworking and reliable with a proven record of using initiative to support patient care and progress.
Assists qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of all patients.
Provides practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting activities ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.
Observes and monitors the wellbeing of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.
Provide specific interventions with patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse, and following training and competency attainment. Such interventions include Observation and Engagement with Patients, escorting patients on leave, and being involved in de-escalation and management of violence and aggression.

Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are looking to recruit male workers that hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for this particular role.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a similar environment and a demonstrated work history compliant with the core or specialist responsibilities.
Educated to a minimum Health and Social Care Level 3 or prepared to complete whilst in employment.
Has completed the Care Certificate
Understands the need for strict confidentiality
Basic IT literacy
Hold a current first aid certificate
Hold a valid UK Driving Licence in order to be a Hospital Driver
