As a

Team Leader

at

Penerley Lodge

We provide support to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities and mental health issues. By joining us you will become one of the 'family' and in return for your dedication and hard work you can expect:

Salary: 12.50 - 13.50 per hour (depending on experience & qualifications)

22 - 33 hour contracts / Bank contracts available

12 hour shifts from 8am - 8pm/8pm - 8am, Monday - Sunday

Must be available on weekends (alternate)


About the role:



As a Team Leader you will be leading the shift and working alongside a team of Healthcare Assistants. You will be reporting to the Head of Care and/or Home Manager as well as your other Senior Team Leaders. You will be responsible for administering medication, updating and maintaining MARR records, updating care plans, creating allocation sheets and being the main point of contact during each shift that you lead.

What we are looking for from you:



To apply for this job we would require the following;-

At least three years' experience in a Senior Carer/Team Leader role

An NVQ 2/3/4 qualification in Health & Social Care

Experience of working in a residential or nursing home for

at least three years



Experience of working with people suffering from dementia

Provide person centred care and personal care to residents in all aspects of their daily living

Be actively involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring and undertaking monthly evaluations as part of Resident of the Day.

Support residents with their medication requirements

Support with the ordering, storage, disposal and administration of medication in accordance with the policy

Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required

Act as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
