Watermead Rose care Home are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in our care. A valid driving licence is preferred, as some duties may involve travelling to provide home care.
Duties
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Follow individual care plans to ensure that each resident receives personalised support tailored to their needs.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on residents' conditions and any changes in their care requirements.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in residents' health status.
Support residents in engaging with social activities and promote their independence where possible.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both residents and staff.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with residents and team members effectively.
A valid driving licence is preferred for potential home visits.
Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using electronic systems.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
