We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in both care home and home care settings. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients in both care home and home care settings.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Document client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a healthcare or caring role is essential.
Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when necessary.
IT skills for documentation purposes are advantageous.
A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients as needed.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
