Senior
Highway Engineer
to join our multi discipline workforce at Align Property Services.

What You'll be Doing:
Use surveys, feasibility studies, and technical reports to produce design schedules.
Review, amend, and finalise design drawings.
Deliver infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
Collaborate effectively with Engineers and Technicians on road and infrastructure projects across North Yorkshire and beyond.
Provide expert advice and support to team members, drawing on your experience in Highway Engineering.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of road networks.
Support the career progression and development of Engineers and Technicians within the team.
Be part of a supportive and forward-thinking engineering environment.
What We're Looking For:
A Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, or extensive experience, professional registered or seeking registration at IEng level
A sound engineering foundation and understanding of highway design principles (alignments, drainage, footway and carriageway construction etc.) with previous experience in highway design and construction
Knowledge of relevant UK standards, adoptable standards and building regulations
Experience in the conceptual and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage and highway features
Understanding of the NEC3 and NEC4 and other contract types and procurement options including tendering and contract management tasks
Experience in the design of highway structures is desirable
The ability to prepare designs and specifications using PDS and/or Civils 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage etc
