To provide expert HR advice and guidance to operational management and to enable the organisations we support to deliver their strategic priorities in line with their values and best practice.
Job description
We are seeking a talented and experienced HR professional to join our fantastic team! Managing a small team of HR Advisors, you will provide expert support and guidance over a wide range of employment matters as part of an Enabling Services HR Team to Police and OPFCC management and staff. With the main focus being Employee Relations, you will support the HR Business Partner in delivering a professional service across a range of complex matters including performance improvement, change programmes, grievance and disciplinary management. You will have experience in HR case management and enjoy reviewing and analysing HR data to support people insights across the organisations we support.

Recruitment and Selection Policy

Internal applicants who are at risk of redundancy or in need of redeployment and pass the selection process, will be offered the role over the remaining internal and external applicants.


Internal applicants must have line manager support prior to proceeding with an application.


Please be aware that the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and Northamptonshire Police are separate employers. Although vacancies are open to all, if you are successful, the change of employer will require a longer onboarding process and you will receive a new contract and payroll number. Service with either employer can be carried over as continuous service.

Police Barred and Advisory lists

Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
