We have an exciting opportunity for HR Manager to join our manufacturing site based in Tewkesbury. In this role, you would be responsible for delivering effective HR operations, people initiatives, and compliance across the employee lifecycle, ensuring a high-performance, values-led, and legally compliant workplace culture.
Within this role you will report to the Managing Director/Group HR Director.
Key accountabilities
Act as the HR voice ensuring HR strategy is fully integrated with business and commercial objectives.
Partner with the Group HR Director to deliver a people strategy covering growth, succession, culture, and workforce transformation.
Lead organisational design initiatives to align structure, roles, and capability with business requirements.
Embed a performance and accountability culture, ensuring clear KPIs, aligned objectives, and consistent appraisal processes.
Oversee absence management, welfare, and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring early intervention and support.
Oversee the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to succession ensuring processes support long-term business needs.
Ensure HR policies and procedures are legally compliant, commercially pragmatic, and aligned with Group standards.
Lead change management programmes, including cultural transformation and workforce planning.
Provide clear HR dashboards, insights, and people metrics, ensuring data informs decision-making.
Support site audits, customer requirements, and external accreditations (e.g., Investors in People).
Ensure compliance with all company Health and Safety procedures thus ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all persons in their charge and others who may be affected by their activities for which they are responsible, and to demonstrate a commitment to health and safety.
Knowledge Required
Generalist background, with expertise across employee relations, performance management, organisational design, and reward.
Knowledge of UK employment law, HR compliance, and governance frameworks.
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to link HR outcomes to business performance
Strong people development and cultural change skills.
Financial and commercial acumen (budget/capex).
CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent senior HR leadership experience.
Proven experience in delivering HR operations independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience influencing and guiding senior stakeholders.
Demonstrable Knowledge of Accreditation Standards
Computer literate MS Word, HRIS.
