DESCRIPTION

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles \'last mile\' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers\' delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon Restaurants.

There are two sides to what we do. Our \'under the roof\' associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations, with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations.

Meanwhile, our \'on the road\' people work with Amazon Flex - a network of delivery contractors. Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services. We look for new ways to overcome industry wide logistics challenges and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint, supported by a portfolio of cutting-edge vehicles (including Electric Vehicles) and technology to help us do just that.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and drive critical people initiatives, large projects and providing great internal stakeholder and candidate customer support.
- Build cross-functional partnerships - works closely with Site Sr. Operations Leaders, and other departments such as Employee Relations, Recruitment, L&D, Work Force Staffing, PR, Finance, Legal, and HRS to achieve objectives.
- Facilitate strategic project governance and communication to stakeholders and leads project status meetings.
- Partner to identify best practices to be leveraged across the UK and EU and define key performance indicators for successful expansion
- Partner with key internal stakeholders to ensure deployment of HR tools and processes
- Serve as an Amazon cultural ambassador to site leadership, employment base and local community: exhibit leadership principles and core values into local site culture
- Serve as escalation point for any HR related site issues.
- Mentor and develop the site HR team: ensure they successfully deliver a high standard of HR support, both at site and across the network.
- Encourage a culture of efficiency, innovation, and customer service.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- A degree
- Relevant experience in HR in an operational environment.
- Relevant experience in improvement of HR KPIs (attendance, attrition, payroll defects, compliance rate etc.).
- Knowledge of UK Employment law
- Relevant experience in project management and facilitation of process improvement initiatives with a thematic focus on either of the following areas: Continuous Process Improvement, HR Technology/Systems implementation, Workforce Flexibility/Workforce Planning
- Relevant experience in Excel, being able to work with large datasets, extract relevant metrics and to evaluate and analyze data succinctly
- Advanced proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
