We're looking for a Senior Human Factors Engineer to join our growing team and take technical ownership of projects that span the full development lifecycle. You'll work closely with clients, project managers, and engineers to deliver high-quality, insight-driven solutions that improve usability and reduce risk in medical device development.

Principal Responsibilities





As a Senior Human Factors Engineer, you'll be involved in all aspects of project scoping, delivery, and client engagement. You'll lead usability strategies, mentor junior team members, and help shape the future of our Human Factors capability.

Key responsibilities include:



Leading full Human Factors programmes aligned with client and project goals Conducting desk and field research, risk assessments, and formative/summative studies Generating actionable insights and design recommendations from data analysis Producing high-quality reports and presentations that meet Crux standards Communicating confidently with clients and internal teams to manage expectations Navigating project risks and ensuring timely, successful delivery Building trusted relationships and identifying new business opportunities Supporting proposal development and project scoping Mentoring and line-managing junior team members Promoting Human Factors best practices and regulatory awareness across the business Contributing to the continuous improvement of HF processes and team capability

What We're Looking For



Essential



Educated in a Human Factors related subject (Product Design, Engineering, Psychology) 2+ years applying human factors in a highly regulated sector Proven experience applying Human Factors techniques and usability principles in medical device development Deep understanding of IEC 62366 and FDA Human Factors guidance Skilled in guiding, designing and delivering user research and putting participants at ease for both formative and validation studies Strong data analysis and report writing skills Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills Exceptional planning, organisational skills, and attention to detail Great attention to detail Flexible and collaborative work ethic Degree in a relevant accredited programme

Desirable



Conference speaking/publication experience CIEHF/HFES Membership Experience in a consultancy environment for the medical, pharma or health industries. Line management experience Experience within multi-disciplinary teams for project delivery
