Main purpose of the Job:

To provide planned and reactive maintenance services to a variety of equipment (Heating/Air Conditioning) to customer sites of all types (Schools, Hospitals, Commercial Offices etc).

As a mobile engineer you should be driven, proud of your work, thrive on responsibility and capable of working on own initiative with minimum supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

The role includes but may not be limited to the following tasks:

Undertake planned maintenance tasks to the highest standards, in accordance with the master schedule, as directed by the manager and/or administration department.

To pick up and action reactive tasks (call outs) allocated by the help desk.

Have sufficient ability and experience to maintain, repair and commissioning all types of HVAC systems to include minor elements of Plumbing, Pipework, Controls and Electrical.

Complete electronic worksheets & related paperwork detailing hours worked and tasks completed for each day.

To observe company & client policies applicable to health, safety and environment in the workplace.

To assess risks involved in each task to ensure work undertaken is to the highest possible safety standards.

Help to improve communication and assist in any matters relating to the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Qualifications:

ACS Commercial Gas Safe Qualifications are essential.

C&G 2079 (F-Gas) Certificate along with some formal Air Conditioning training would be nice, but A/C training can be given if a Heating engineer is keen to learn.

Related electrical knowledge with a formal qualification preferred but not essential.

Some basic plumbing and pipework knowledge and experience would be advantageous.

Experience:

Preferably a minimum of 5 years' experience in the HVAC industry with a sound knowledge of various types of commercial Heating systems along with associated plant and equipment. We would emphasise that the need to be self-sufficient and capable of working on own initiative with limited supervision is a must.

Accountabilities:

Equipment/Facilities

Responsibility extends to the correct maintenance and care for all vehicles, materials, tools and equipment issued by the company.

Finance

Seek to undertake all duties in a cost-effective manner ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum.

Training:

The individual should be willing to undertake any training and personal development as the management deems necessary. i.e. attend ongoing technical/legislative updates on all related building services topics.

Location:

Although the position is to predominately service the midlands area, the company would expect occasional travel in order to meet the demands of the position.

General:

The role will suit someone with good experience, has a good flexible attitude who is happy to carry out whatever tasks are necessary with minimum fuss. You would be an integral part of a small team of hardworking individuals who take pride in what we do and offer a service to get the job done.

Package:

Excellent rates of pay (circa 45k basic) paid door to door plus O/T and bonus/profit share for the right applicant together with all the usual benefits including fully expensed vehicle, supply of trade related equipment, mobile telephone, uniform, expense float etc.

Earnings therefore in excess of 50k would be easily achievable.
