Shape the Future of Manufacturing - Join NMIS as a Senior Relationship Manager

The University of Strathclyde is a globally renowned technological institution with a proud history of driving business growth through groundbreaking research and innovation. At the forefront of this mission is the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS)--a beacon for advanced manufacturing innovation that empowers businesses of all sizes to boost productivity, embrace digital transformation, and deliver on net-zero ambitions.

At NMIS, we don't just transform industries--we help shape a more sustainable economy, nurture future-ready talent, and deliver meaningful impact. Our dynamic and diverse team collaborates closely with industry, academia, and the public sector to solve real-world challenges and inspire innovation in manufacturing.

We're now seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Relationship Manager to play a critical role in managing and deepening strategic partnerships with some of our most significant industrial collaborators--typically major manufacturing and engineering organisations committed to innovation, R&D, and skills development.

In this outward-facing, high-impact role, you will lead a small, high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional value to NMIS's priority industrial clients. You will own relationship and account strategies, champion customer satisfaction, identify new collaborative opportunities, and help shape and deliver complex commercial and R&D projects.

This role is ideal for someone with strong relationship-building skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of innovation within manufacturing and engineering.

What You'll Do:

Cultivate partnerships with strategically important industry partners: in Scotland, the UK, and globally. Work with, and be seen as a strategic partner to, cutting-edge businesses, helping them enhance their productivity, competitiveness, and innovation. Identify and shape collaborative R&D projects with industrial partners, to develop and deliver high-impact R&D and innovation projects in the manufacturing sector. Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address challenges to ensure long-term, high-value partnerships.

What We Offer:

A dynamic, mission-driven working environment supporting Scotland's manufacturing transformation. Opportunities to work at the forefront of industrial innovation with world-class partners. Generous holiday entitlement and competitive pension contributions. Access to a wide range of personal and professional development opportunities, including leadership and technical training.

Join us in redefining what's possible in manufacturing--apply today and help shape the future.
