We are looking for an experienced individual to maintain

enterprise infrastructure

in UK datacentres for high profile,

Managed Services

customers.
You will bring all round traditional hosted infrastructure operational experience (e.g. VMWare, backups, storage and monitoring etc). The role will focus on on-premise, private and hybrid cloud ecosystems.
What You Will Do:
You will operate and continually improve systems delivering hosted services:

Building, Configuring, Securing, Enhancing

and

Operating

back-end servers and services. This is whole life management, so responsibility extends to service improvement, cost management, high availability testing and eventual decommissioning. Typically, this includes: Enterprise storage (IBM, NetApp, Dell, HPE etc.) Enterprise monitoring and automation tools (Logic Monitor) Virtualisation (VMware and/or Hyper-V) Replication services (Zerto) Provide technical support and take ownership of incidents, respecting SLA's and OLA's as guided. Attend relevant customer meetings as and where required. Examples may include presenting changes to the change advisory board, or providing technical feedback as part of a formal problem review. Implement solutions with colleagues to drive automation, to improve responsiveness and consistency. Maintain documentation through system lifecycles, ensuring compliance to relevant standards (i.e. ITIL, ISO 27001, 9001) and security (i.e. CIS, STIG). Be part of the team that includes participation in an On-Call rotation to provide our customers 24/7 support.

What You Will Have:
Outstanding presentation and communication skills, written and oral, conversing at all levels with customers, prospects and internally. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to devise and implement strategies beneficial to Advanced and our clients. Understanding of good practices to drive standard, repeatable deployment processes and procedures with experience of automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy, using tooling such as PowerShell. Demonstrable experience of infrastructure management and use of a range of tooling. Working knowledge of network fundamentals and security technologies. Capability to author and update infrastructure, support and procedural documentation. Be self-motivated, tenacious, disciplined, enthusiastic and resilient. A keen willingness to mentor others within your field of expertise. Effective time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure.
