Act as the primary point of contact between project managers and the logistics team, ensuring all information (site details, access issues, customer requests) is clear before installation. Escalate and resolve scheduling or resource conflicts with project managers quickly. Keep fitters updated on project requirements and site-specific considerations, ensuring they have the information needed before leaving the factory.

Absence & Cover Planning

Coordinate holiday and absence schedules within the logistics team to ensure cover and prevent operational disruption. Standardise logistics tasks so they are easily covered by cross-trained staff in case of holiday or sickness. Step into logistics tasks personally as an

, with the focus on maintaining resilience across the team.

Technical Support

Provide guidance to fitters and project managers when technical installation challenges arise. Make the final call on whether work continues on site or materials need to return to the factory. Support operations in assessing the complexity of bespoke or challenging installation requests.

Continuous Improvement

Identify inefficiencies in logistics planning and scheduling and propose improvements. Apply Kaizen principles to improve installation workflows, reduce wasted travel, and improve team efficiency. Ensure lessons learned from site challenges are documented and communicated.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in installation logistics, planning, or coordination within stone fabrication, construction, or a similar industry. Strong technical knowledge of stone worktops and installation processes. Excellent organisational skills with experience managing schedules and resources.
